Jarvis Homes

The Jarvis name has been synonymous with the building of quality new homes since 1905. Founded in Hertfordshire by Ernest Charles Jarvis, the company has remained a family run concern, and today the widely recognised description ‘Jarvis Built’ stands as a testament to the company’s reputation for excellence in craftsmanship and attention to detail.  Jarvis Homes are proud to have a NHBC top A1 rating.

With each development, we seek to enhance the built environment by constructing attractively designed homes which complement their surroundings, maintaining the highest levels of workmanship. We also expertly combine traditional property designs and high-quality building materials with the benefits of the latest technologies.

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our staff, we have continually reviewed and updated our operational procedures in line with Government Advice and the latest Construction Leadership Council Guidance.

Jarvis Homes support the local community, donating to a number of different good causes including Keech Hospice Care, Macmillan Cancer Research and the A-T Society to name a few over recent years. We have also sponsored events such as golf days and concerts.

Donations and events are also organised by Jarvis Harpenden Charitable Trust in support of numerous local schools, clubs, societies and charities.

Subject: What progress and support from Jarvis Homes

Dear Annie and Mike

I am just reflecting on what massive progress we have made since we all met down at Wheathampstead United Church, thanks to the huge help from Jarvis Homes.

Yesterday was another milestone achieved…Neil Mathieson helped us get the electricity up and running in the church halls.  This was on top of all the work in the main church building, and beyond our dreams and we are so thrilled.

Mike the whole team at Jarvis have been brilliant – so supportive and helpful to us, and I have to say Neil has gone the extra mile so many times to see if he can find a way of helping us…all credit to your great team.

Annie, your kind introduction to Mike was the catalyst to big progress in 2020 with the practicalities towards setting up the gym.

We are pretty confident things are going well with the formalities with the church and we will have the legals sorted out early next year – with an opening during 2021.

So a HUGE thank you to you both as this year draws to a close…and what a year it has been.  But I am sure our resilience will continue and 2021 will start to see us all turning the corner.

Warmest wishes to you all and your families

Julie and the Chapel Gym team
